The SP databaseManager helps you in your daily tasks with the GUPTA SQLBase. No matter if this includes in-house work or the automated monitoring and maintenance of a customer database, SP databaseManager can simplify your workload in many ways.
SP databaseManager is a fully multithreaded 32-bit application that was developed entirely in MS Visual C++ .
This software tool allows any number of GUPTA SQLBase servers and databases to be registered and combined into a single work space. It is completely bilingual in German and English and, thanks to its modern GUI with Tooltips, full Explorer structure, context-dependent Quicktabs and comprehensive right-click menu operation, SP databaseManager makes life easier for users working with GUPTA SQLBase every day.

Database tasks are controllable regardless of time thanks to a calendar feature. The calendar supports monthly, weekly and daily options
Database tasks can be distributed among any number of steps. The sequence in which the steps are executed is freely definable
Each step can consist of the following operations:
- Database check operation (always carried out for the entire database)
- Update of database statistics
- Online backup of the database, log files or a snapshot backup
- Execution of any SQL command
- Execution of any UNLOAD command
Chronological logging of executed operations
Optional notification to operator via SMTP e-mail in the case of error messages or also via the standard processing of database orders
Each individual database order is executed in its own thread
Remote management of the service via the database manager
